The Water Zone

Dear loyal supporters.

Following an Emergency Meeting convened by the SAG/Environmental Health Division of S. Staffs CC today, we have concluded that, due to an incidence of green/blue algae bloom on The Pool at Chillington Hall, all water based activities must be cancelled forthwith. This includes wild swimming, paddling, zorbing and devastatingly, our iconic Cardboard Boat Race.

I’m sure that you will be aware of the tragic incidents both in UK and offshore during the past week and will understand that we simply cannot take any risks; that your safety is paramount.

H&S is on everyone’s lips right now and whist this is a huge body blow to Rich and the incredible team at Canoe Trail, to yourselves and lastly to us as organisers of your event, I do hope that we can count on your understanding and continued support.
